All memberships are free while we build the directory. We'll earn a paid membership by bringing you anglers first — and captains who claim now keep a locked-in rate when that day comes.
A public page at tidesandtails.net/charters/<your water>/<your boat> that ranks for your boat's name and your home water. It carries your contact details, a description, trips and rates, photos, the boat's specs, the species you chase and reviews from anglers who fished with you.
It sits inside the water's charter directory, so an angler reading up on Pensacola Bay or Galveston finds your boat next to the live tides and the bite report — not buried in a search result.
Nothing. All memberships are free while we build the directory and bring anglers to it — claiming your page, editing it and receiving requests, with every angler's contact details unmasked.
A membership should earn its price before we charge for it. When the site is sending you enough anglers that paying for it is an easy call, we'll open paid memberships — and captains who claimed early keep a locked-in rate. We don't quote that number yet because we'd rather set it once, honestly, than change it on you.
Everything an angler reads: the description in your own words, phone and website, home marina, trip types, target species, trip packages with hours, capacity and price, the boat's make, length, year, capacity, engines, electronics and whether there's a head aboard — and up to a handful of photos of the boat.
Reviews stay as anglers wrote them; you can reply through the request thread but not edit or remove them.
Every boat page carries a short request form — no account needed on the angler's side. When someone sends one, it lands in your dashboard with their name, email, phone, preferred date and party size, and we email you a copy so nothing waits on you logging in.
You call or write them back directly. We take no commission and never sit between you and your customer.
Each boat page is server-rendered with schema.org LocalBusiness markup, listed in our sitemap, and published as structured data in our open JSON feeds — the same records AI assistants and search engines read when someone asks “who runs inshore trips out of Orange Beach?”.
