• Sponsored field report — $150 each. Written with our editors, labelled sponsored, and honest about the gear.

A founding rate is held for the first captains in and is locked for the life of the membership, so nobody gets a price-increase notice later: Basic Charter Guide — $29/mo locked for life — first 20 captains. Featured Charter — $49/mo locked for life — first 20 captains.

The application

Five minutes, no card. The form asks for your business name, owner or captain name, service category, membership tier, home port or waters, a contact email and phone, and a short description of your operation. Photos can be added to your profile after the listing is set up.

Self-attestation — required for charter captains. You certify that you hold a valid US Coast Guard license and that your operation complies with all applicable state and federal requirements. Listings by attested captains display a “USCG self-attested” badge; Tides & Tails does not validate credentials and assumes no liability for the accuracy of the attestation or for services provided.
