Tap once and we pull live tide, water temperature, wind and moon readings for the three fisheries closest to you.
Tap Use my location on this page and your browser asks once; the results are ranked nearest first. No location? Pick a state below — each state page lists the same results without a prompt.
This page answers: what are the tide and conditions doing near me right now? It reads your position once, in your browser, finds the three closest fisheries in the Tides & Tails coastal guide, and loads each one's live readings — next high and low tide, water temperature, wind and gusts, cloud cover and moon phase.
Waters are ranked by straight-line distance from your position to the centre of each fishery in our catalog — the same 38 coastal zones the location guide covers, from the Texas border to Maryland plus California.
Distances are measured to the centre of each water as our catalog records it, not to a ramp or a pier. Live readings come from NOAA CO-OPS tide stations, the National Weather Service and Open-Meteo, fetched when you open the page — for recreation only, never for navigation.
Your position is read once, kept only in this page's memory to sort the results, and never stored or sent anywhere except the search request itself. See the privacy policy.
Agents and scripts can ask the same question directly: /feed/search.json with lat, lon and radius.
